Posted: 06 Jul 2020 07:57 AM PDT Basically, with the exception of the roadmap that was in place prior to Mod Warden taking the helm, nothing really has happened with our game. The RS3 community has been mostly ghosted by Jagex while the OSRS teams have heavily communicated their plans and intentions. I don't think anyone in CM is authorized to really communicate properly with the community. Mod Warden has also refused to step up and address the community over the lack of his ability to lead. Due to Mod Warden ghosting us, it is best for him to submit his resignation and for Jagex to get someone from OSRS to lead RS3 to get us out of the patch week rut we've been in for so long. From back in December. . . https://secure.runescape.com/m=news/a=13/year-ahead-a-message-from-mod-warden "I want the 12 months ahead to be better than the 12 months that is behind us. Our developers have worked incredibly hard to get out content such as The Ranch Out of Time, Farming and Herblore 120, RS Mobile, Smooth Movement and Yak Track into your hands." ~Mod Warden -Well so far 2019 was a MUCH better year. -2020 so far had a MTX Bottle Quest, PvM Hub, Archaeology, and ROoT building added with storm barn. The rest of the year has been Yack Track and TH with patch notes. Mostly it is the lack of communication stating to expect the rest of the 1Q and 2Q to be patch weeks and a goal of when regular content will follow. No update in the progress of the Arcaheology Anachronia expansion either. "Right now, we're on the cusp of a brand-new era for RuneScape. This evolution will take a few years to unfold, and how this looks becomes clearer to me every day." ~Mod Warden -Is this why we are mostly getting bug fixes (getting rid of oudated code) to allow these future updates? It is hopeful, but is it a pipe dream or reality? "To get this right, I need to know we're prioritising the right things. What content do you all engage with the most? And what are you telling us you want? Just as importantly, I need to understand what our strengths and weaknesses are as a team and studio. When have we succeeded? And where have we underdelivered?" ~Mod Warden -So far you've totally failed at this. The 0 karma just about each week on the reddit updates should be a pretty good indicator of this. -COVID 19 - seems to be used as an excuse for poor performance. OSRS ladership has kept their side of the community VERY WELL updated while RS3 refuses to address the community at all. I mean a statement telling us to expect the planned spring/summer content in the Fall/Winter due to the disruption would have mitigated this tbh. "I want to come to you with a plan that takes RuneScape in the direction players want and deserve. I want to get to a place where the flow of content is no longer a concern. I want you to be genuinely excited about all the new adventures coming your way. And I want you to know these things are arriving regularly and predictably." ~Mod Warden -You haven't done a Saradomin damn thing with this yet! This is why you really need to step down as your clearly unwilling to step up. [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 Jul 2020 06:57 AM PDT Hi everyone, if I'm being naive here (still learning a lot) please let me know. I was doing a quick reaper task at the Chaos Elemental and experienced something I haven't seen before. Two folks hopped onto my world, obviously pkers by the gear and skull, and I resigned myself to the fact I was going to die. No worries because I had my Zaryte Bow only, and some Monk's Robes on. He began attacking me and I knew something was wrong, as he was doing very little damage, and I know any pker worth their salt should have KOed me at that point. His buddy was also very slow to jump in. I am still learning a lot about EOC and RS in general after coming from a hiatus, but I knew something was up. After a few seconds of him having Soul Split on, the guy attacking me says "use chain" to his friend. For some reason this sent my DANGER senses into overdrive (despite having zero clue what it meant) and I felt an overwhelming assuredness I was about to get f***ed. I tried to get to my protect item prayer in time, and lo and behold I was skulled and he proceeded to Adren Pot > Asphyx Wild Magic. Top it off with the toxic "bye :)" and I realize that this was a calculated manipulation of mechanics to skull people. It wasn't hard to tell after that this was a calculated move from the SS to drain prayer (I was lucky to have points left but didn't get to the protect item prayer in time), to the buildup of adren for thresholds post skulling. I added him as a friend and saw him quickly hopping world to world, and it's obvious they do this to try and catch someone using higher tier weapons thinking they'll be safe. I lost a Zaryte Bow which to most players here is probably chump change but definitely sucks for someone who is not quite as hardcore a player as others. This seems like a complete abuse of the mechanics and I don't see how there is any justification for this being allowed (I'm still a bit unsure exactly how it transpired). Does anyone know about this trick? My ultimate goal here would be to get this looked at and removed as it seems extremely unfair and completely negates the point of people identifying what gear they'll keep when not skulled in the wild. I'd really like the bow back but I think that's out of the question. I hope this can at minimum make people aware so it doesn't happen to them. I'm totally okay with pking, but this does not feel moral nor validated. [link] [comments]

Let us "Overcharge" our Scrimshaws/God Books. Posted: 06 Jul 2020 11:04 AM PDT This is another small suggestion, without too much science. Let us overcharge our scrimshaws/Godbooks with up to 9 of them to make them last 10X longer. That's it. I think it could be handy. [link] [comments]
Hey Jagex, how's text scaling coming along? Posted: 06 Jul 2020 12:23 PM PDT Honest question, I can't very well play RuneScape on my TV when the text is barely big enough for a baby gnome to read, much less those poor poor players with big ol monitors. (☞゚ヮ゚)☞ [link] [comments]
Activate Tuska Lodestone & Make Anima Islands F2P Posted: 06 Jul 2020 06:11 AM PDT Suggestions: 1) Make Anima Islands F2P so F2P can get 1 of the Warpriest Items and the cosmetics 2) Activate the Tuska Lodestone so all players can use it (Wizard Chambers taps into the latent anima energy still residing in Tuska's corpse and the islands to repower it) 3) Mazcab Portal is inaccessible for F2P. 4) Remove the swimming option or make it "one way" from the desert to Tuska, but not the other way. I personally think the sub needs a pinned megathread for fixes. Posted: 06 Jul 2020 06:15 AM PDT Realistically go through manually, and check how many posts say something along the lines of "please fix" , or the infamous "Can we get "x"?". This would filter out a ton of things, and give better reader visibility for things that are unique, or fun for the sub again. insert change my mind meme here [link] [comments]

So I messed up, come laugh at me! Posted: 06 Jul 2020 02:02 PM PDT So what'd I do? Me and my buddy were doing nex for the whole evening. We did 43 instances. Created a new one each time because why not, free anyway, or so I thought.. You can see where this is going.. I had the instance set to fastest spawn rate, meaning each one cost 800k, i realised after 43 instances... RIP 34M. And to make matters worse. I'm an ironman. F [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Jul 2020 12:04 AM PDT Jagex, you have to figure out a way to add more bank presets to the game. You can't just say we're limited in server space and therefore either deal with the low amount of presets or stop playing the game. That's not how you keep your low player base from leaving the game. I know so many people, including myself, that have stopped playing this game until more bank presets get added. Please I beg you, find out a solution to aid in adding more bank presets to the game. This game is so fun, there's so much content. Let us have access to this content, we can't keep removing and modifying presets every single few hours. It's literally baffling. Please just at least say you're working on a solution to this problem. [link] [comments]
Today's French news-post mentions a different topic for tomorrow's livestream... Posted: 06 Jul 2020 06:52 AM PDT
roughly translating to: Tuesday July 7 | 16:00 (game time) | Fixing t92 elite armours This week, we'll be joined by Mod Orion and other Jmods to speak about the development of the changes brought to t92 elite armours, as well as armours in general. I thought it was an interesting detail to share here because it means that they originally planned something different for tomorrow's livestream and changed their mind recently to organise an "Upcoming update" livestream instead. They may be listening after all? [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 Jul 2020 06:31 AM PDT Jagex did extremely well with the Archaeology update, in fact due to their delays it worked out even more perfect that the update came out during a time where most were in lockdown during covid and there had high numbers playing the game and trying the new content out. However, this is where the missed opportunity plays in. Question needs to be asked: Why did they not capitalise on this and kept on producing updates after to continue the growth. I don't care what excuses players come up regarding the lack of content, it's simply unacceptable that a company that make a lot of money did not produce any content during a period where most people are in lockdown and had time on their hands. Where for awhile they had high numbers playing for once. It really could have continued the growth of runescape. But it gets even worse... Now we entering July and Jagex have not even communicated any plans for the future to keep players from continuing to play. When will the next actual update be? When will the big next content come? Will summer even be worth it at a period where most people are free? I'll end this with the only positive thing that's happened this year: kudos on Archaeology, but that's all. [link] [comments]
RS3 Minigames - Give us some love! Posted: 06 Jul 2020 10:49 AM PDT Right now, RuneScape 3 has a Max Cape, Completionist Cape, Master Quest Cape, and several other things to 'aim for' with collection logs, titles, items, etc. There's very little when it comes to minigames and D&Ds. Minigames were made dead content even further with the removal of some completionist cape requirements. What I propose is that a 'Master Minigames Cape' is added - something that those of us who enjoy playing, can have something to aim for and show off. I'm unsure how difficult this may be to implement, but I hope something could be done. I have listed below a few requirements that may be a possibility on such a cape.
Feel free to share any more ideas on what you think should or shouldn't be included. :) [link] [comments] |
