Can War's Retreat please not invert our camera? Posted: 28 Jul 2020 12:53 PM PDT Currently, when you teleport to the PvM hub, your camera is completely realigned. Your camera direction is not only inverted, but the angle is tilted down approximately 45 degrees. This means that virtually everyone who enters the PvM hub is forced to readjust their camera in some way, whether it is untilting the camera, changing the direction back to north, or both. I seriously doubt that there are a large number of people who prefer to play the game with a camera tilted 45 degrees downward, and I think it's reasonable to assume that the number of people who like to play with an inverted camera pointed south is well less than half. Jagex, can the camera... not change when we enter the PvM hub? Can it just stay the same? Please? It's extremely annoying to have your camera screwed up every time you enter the area. From what I've heard, the PvM did not change the camera angles upon release, but because a handful of crazy people asked for it to be changed, Jagex changed it into its current form. This means that it should be simple enough to change it back. Now I understand that there are people who will argue against what I am asking just for the sake of it, but I honestly cannot think of a single reason why it is better for the PvM hub to change your camera angle upon entry. Possible ridiculous counterarguments that people will probably make include:
There is absolutely no good reason why it is better for War's Retreat to change your camera angle upon entry. None. Whatsoever. If someone can come up with an argument that it's better for the area to turn your camera, go for it. But as it stands, it would be much better if this didn't happen. [link] [comments] | ||

But after 5 minutes of no input, you are logged out due to inactivity, even if you are still in the middle of the act. Could this duration be increased to 10 minutes, please? You could let us choose it between 1 and 10 minutes if some people prefer a shorter duration. Of course, clicking once per 5 minutes is not a big deal, but having to worry about an invisible timer is inconvenient when otherwise no input would be required. This inconvenience is not limited to afking, since you may be locked out even if you are monitoring your screen all the time. If the duration cannot be increased, I think there should be at least some kind of notice that alerts us before the logout is coming. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 28 Jul 2020 11:43 AM PDT I am cb126 and I'm something like a returning player - I do not know a lot about most of newer content. However, doing slayer tasks, I had noticed that some people seem to auto-attract a lot of monsters and slaughter them all. I was asking myself how do they even heal, and it turned out there's a level 92 prayer called "soul split" which lets them heal through dealing damage. Additional to that, I heard about auras, and that there's a vampyrism aura with a similar effect. I wanted to get that aura. Some sources online state that you can buy it with "loyalty points" Apparently, this was true until january 2020 when this new "war" thing was introduced, and war-marks. Since then it seems it can only be bought this was... Having little clue about boss monsters (I encountered TzTok-Jad once, a while ago, and was obliterated due to wrong prayer switch... visibly in pain), and only having done things like Barrows Brothers (original) and God Wars Dungeon (also original) so far, it seems like the monsters I can beat and know (Kalphite Queen, Barrows, GWD1 etc.) Give very few points. Maybe I can try tougher ones? Well, I just went into the Barrows-World and did a PRACTICE on the new barrows, and got my buttocks handed to me... (Where to even find players for that?) So... I need to get 5000 war marks and would like to find an alternative to 100xBarrows or 167xKalphite Queen, as they do not give a lot of marks. Maybe something more up to date where you can also get some nice loot and/or other players are playing. I'm wielding a Saradomin Godsword with high non-degradable equipment, but I also have a Masuta's Warspear and for Ranged high non-degradable armour with a Zaryte bow, for mage high non degradablr armour with Armadyl's battlestaff Thanks a lot! Other QC messages display their badge like 70% of the time and spontaneously one day might not show. As someone who likes using QC a lot, it'd be nice to have consistency across all quickchat messages & displaying the badge. [link] [comments] |
