Comparing and Reviewing Murder Mystery in OSRS & RS3 Posted: 04 Jan 2020 01:06 PM PST Hello all I've been working on doing every quest in both OSRS and RS3 and decided to do a review/comparison of the two versions. I'm playing through the quests in the timeline order per RS3, but always doing them in OS first when available. This was originally posted on the 2007scape subreddit. Today I did Murder Mystery. It ended up being a fun quest! The Good: I liked the setup. The poison salesman and the gossip are two of my new favorite NPCs in Runescape. The random aspect of this quest is awesome and from what I understand unique. I did actually feel like I was investigating a crime. There was a ton of good dialogue in this quest. The Bad: I wish you didn't have to click through as many menus to read all the dialogue. When you reach the end of a branch why can't you just loop back to the last dialogue option point? My only other complaint is that it was a bit cryptic on the how flour/fly paper part. Had to look that bit up. The Different: I found the poison salesman outside of the Seers Village bank in RS3 instead of inside it in OSRS. They added a barking sound effect for the dog in RS3, which I appreciate. The fireplace within the mansion can be cooked on in RS3. They added a milk seller for some reason in RS3. She doesn't have any dialogue that relates to the quest. The maid of the mansion had some capitalization issues in OS that were fixed in RS3. RS3 also confirmed that she is not actually pregnant. RS3's version was slightly better. Overall I'll give it a 8/10. Have any thoughts and opinions on this quest? [link] [comments]

Can we get stats on the TH abuse? How much GP got into the game, silverhawks, proteans etc? Posted: 04 Jan 2020 06:40 AM PST And how many people abused it, as well as how many bans are going out. How many are paid customers, and how many aren't. My bet is that if you are F2P and abused this for GP for membership - you're banned. If you're a P2P member and abused it, probably lenient ban/no ban. I'd love to see stats and how much of a fuck up this has been. How much RAW gold came into the game, silverhawks, proteans, pulse cores, springs, rare item tokens, lucky items and cosmetics. [link] [comments]

Heart in RS3 but mind in OSRS? Posted: 04 Jan 2020 06:44 AM PST I love RS3 and i dont think ill be stopping anytime soon because all the bosses, quests and equipmenrs are so cool but i find myself ONLY watching OSRS vids or news and rarely RS3 stuff with the exception of theRsGuy. OSRS videos are always so entertaining. Does anyone else feel this way? [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Jan 2020 04:21 PM PST So we went through all 21 days of presents in the event and get nothing new from it after the 10th? And the 10th reward is a re-used token that already existed. The only new content is the Merry title that took like 5 minutes to code. What a waste of time. [link] [comments]

Jagex, blink once if it’s okay to bug abuse now Posted: 03 Jan 2020 09:25 PM PST In lieu of the recent backlash of the Treasure hunter promo. Is it okay to bug abuse now? I'm personally struggling to make RSGP as it stands, just need to know in time for the next bug. Since i feel like nothing is being done about the offenders. And i feel left out since i could have made money that i could use towards Bonds. Obviously the title is rhethorical and i'm not looking to bug abuse. But is it fair game now? There's a suspiciously large amount of players who have won the 200M cash reward... There's someone in my Clan who made it out with 1,8b worth of cash rewards and god knows how many other rares. Will they not be punished? And there's one who recorded himself closing the interface and opening it again until he won the 200M cash reward. [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Jan 2020 02:10 PM PST What do you guys look for if you are going to watch an RS3 streamer? Is it more personality or content focused, a mix of both? Also any tips on programs to use to start streaming? [link] [comments]

Good things to do with a big skill difference between friends? Posted: 04 Jan 2020 03:33 PM PST Hey all, just looking for some activities I can do with my friend in-game. We've done a ton of shadow reef (He likes it for the invention and money), but that's getting stale. He's 99 in all skills, whereas I have one 99 (magic) and the rest of my skills are anywhere between 60 and 80 (average of about 70 probably). Most minigames are off the table because a lot of them are dead, or for skills he doesn't need rewards for, and most bosses are off the table because I can't survive usually assuming it's a boss that gives him a challenge. Any ideas? Thanks [link] [comments]

Jagex really needs to adopt a harsher stance on the shadier elements of the community. Posted: 03 Jan 2020 05:54 PM PST look i'll just come right out and say it, as far as community management goes, jagex has gotten very... well depending on your point of view comically lazy, or so inept they're beginning to boarder on the dark EA/bethesda levels of incompetent. Part of this is admittedly from tone deaf or easily out of place remarks to the community over many many an issue , another part of this, is the perplexing lack of action against particularly scammers and exploiters. I mean hell, as far as i'm still aware, that one lure via a certain tree by a certain area is still working (if you know any lurers this one seems to be their mecca). I really do feel jagex does need to step it up, update their report system to include video/screenshots not just flimsy chat logs, harshen their punishments and extend them to alts as well as mains, and just in general listen to their forums more. perhaps make a subheading that all posts can only be viewed by jmod staff just for posting clips/images? Posted: 04 Jan 2020 06:59 AM PST So I started playing runescape like yesterday and a while after leaving the starting zone I've found a bot in the harbor. He will shoot arrows killing chickens and I've spend near 40 min collecting bones and arrows (314) from the ground. After that I reported him and he disappeared in 2 min. So the arrows normally drop on the floor after we use them ? [link] [comments]
