    Bank Bug - update (FIXED)

    Thank you everyone who has shared their stories with us over the past few hours. It's been a bit of a whirlwind!

    After a lengthy investigation, we've successfully identified and fixed the issue at around 3.20pm GMT - it was a two-level bug that involved an item being dropped to the ground when being deposited and that items would be dropped to the ground when depositing them whilst also moving another item into that slot - making it appear that the player's item has switched from one to the other. In the example here, the perception was that the spirit weed seeds turned into Cosmic Runes. What actually happened was that the seed was added to the ground, whilst the Cosmic runes that were already in their bank took the spot of the spirit week seeds had visually deposited to. Both levels of complexity of the bug required the player to perform a series of actions without closing the bank, whilst also having item(s) in the inventory and a full bank. Due to the bespoke nature of the bug, in this moment we don't believe it will have affected many players. We'll keep monitoring over the next few days.

    We can confirm there has been no duplication of items, and we're investigating those who may have lost items as a result of the issue, with a view to returning items that have been lost next week. If you believe you've lost items, please send us a ticket here and we'll investigate.

    As a side note, we've identified a small visual bug we've found whilst investigating this bug as well, which may have exacerbated the issue - we'll aim to fix this as soon as we can.

    Thanks for your patience - and if there are any other issues you experience related to this, please let us know. Massive thanks to the group of JMods who have spent most of the past 24 hours fixing this!

    New PoH Aquarium Perks & Fish

    The Aquarium is a room in a player-owned house where players can showcase their Fishing skill. Since the release of the aquarium back in April of 2015, several new fish were released for mid-high level fishing, but not added to the Aquarium. I am suggesting adding 14 new fish to collect for the Aquarium and adding perks to compliment these new finds!

     

    Perk Ideas:

    Tier 7:

    • Increased chance for Prawn balls (Every 22,500 instead of every 25,000 worth of life points. Affects all prawn items.)

    • Fish in Living Rock Cavern without Living minerals

    • 10% more Menaphos faction reputation from fishing

    • Squishy the blubber jellyfish pet (blue or green)

    Tier 8:

    • Golden prawn cracker

    Tier 9:

    • Increased chance for Prawn balls (Every 20,000 instead of every 22,500 worth of life points. Affects all prawn items.)

    • Better double catch rates when harpoon fishing

    • 10% discount from the Prifddinas Waterfall Fishing Shop

    • Prawn pennies and prawn pounds last three times as long

    Tier 10:

    • Golden prawn cracker

    Tier 11:

    • Deep Sea Fishing boosts now last longer (up to 5 mins from items, 20 mins from Arkaneo, and 12 mins from Tavia's fishing rod)

    • New summoning familiar for Fishing (pouches made using items from new or old prawn ball rewards?)

    • Merlin the black marlin pet and black marlin in Aquarium

    • Black marlin can be fished from sailfish fishing spots

    Tier 12:

    • New sushi using raw black marlin

      • Marlin Nigiri. Heals 2200 life points instantly, and the player gains 1% adrenaline every 1.8 seconds for a total of 5% adrenaline gain
      • Marlin Sashimi. Heals 1600 life points instantly, and temporarily raises the player's Constitution level by 3

     

    New Golden Fish Eggs:

    • Desert Sole
    • Catfish
    • Green Blubber Jellyfish
    • Magnetic Minnow
    • Beltfish
    • Sea Turtle
    • Manta Ray
    • Tarpon
    • Blue Blubber Jellyfish
    • Seerfish
    • Sillago
    • Crystal Sea Urchin
    • Wobbegong
    • Sailfish

     

    Decoration:

    Dry Room:

    • More fish head mounts

    Wet Room:

    • Deep Sea Fishing Landmark (passive 2% experience boost and an increased chance at golden fish eggs at the Deep Sea Fishing Hub)

    • Menaphos Landmark (passive 2% experience boost and an increased chance at golden fish eggs in Menaphos)

    • The Arc Landmark (passive 2% experience boost and an increased chance at golden fish eggs in the Arc)

     

    Adjustments:

    • Increase size of aquarium from 16x16 to 20x20 if needed
    • Tweak reward rates from prawn balls to compensate for new items
    • Add prawn point rewards for gaining 500 and 1,000 prawn balls and prawn crackers

    While in mobile, closing the minimap interface creates a larger inventory with a lot of unused space along the bottom (boxed in red). Could the currency pouch, price checker, ect, be added to this space?

    Adopt a newb

    Hello, thank you for reading my post.

    I've recently been enthralled by RS3 after watching some content creators over on youtube. I've had seasonal interest in the game and have made progress in the past. But I haven't touched it in over a year or maybe two?

    Anyways. I'm hoping that by reading this post you'll consider 'adopting' me and essentially helping me play as I progress. I'm an OSRS vet and have a bit of experience with eoc and using revolution.

    A lot of my questions and needing-of-guidance are difficult to ask in a clan chat and are easier to explain with verbal communication.

    Reviewing Wolf Whistle

    Hello all I've been working on doing every quest in both OSRS and RS3 and decided to review the quests I play. I'm playing through the quests in the timeline order per RS3.

    I did Wolf Whistle today, and it ended up being a short but sweet quest!

    The Good: Pretty cinematic with lots of good cut scenes and dialogue. The pet shop owner's pride in his business was palpable. I bought a bulldog. Got a ton of charms as a reward.

    The Bad: Wish this quest was connected to a larger series or something. Couldn't join the trolls instead of the druids. Crafting a crazy powerful summoning pouch at level 1 devalues my character's progress. But seriously, how can a beginner be entrusted to create something that will scare an army of trolls away?

    The Discussion: Do you like the new updated version of this quest over the historical one? Do you agree with them removing this quest as a requirement to do summoning at all? Any other thoughts on this quest?

    Smithing money-making?

    I have 120 smithing but my goal is currently 200m, but I'm in no rush to it and trying to make money off it afk. I've been smelting elder rune bars which is about a 1 to 2m per hour. Is there some better methods? Like smithables with better gp per hour? Thanks!
