    Call for Questions - General Q&A - Tuesday September 24th 16:00 BST

    Posted: 24 Sep 2020 07:30 AM PDT

    Hey all,

We'll be doing a General Q&A Tuesday the 29th of September at 16:00 Game Time.

So if you have any questions feel free to pop them down in the comments, we'll try and find the right Jmods to answer as many of them as possible.

Last time it worked quite well so I would like to ask if all you of you can put each question down as a separate comment. And if you like a question to be answered, give them an up-vote, this way we should get the best questions at the top!

See you all over on twitch.tv/RuneScape on Tuesday!

Lots of Negativity on this subreddit

    Posted: 24 Sep 2020 10:50 AM PDT

With Runescape coming to Steam and potentially huge influx of players looking to reddit for help, can we try not to turn them away with all the negativity in this subreddit?

New Player - Everyone else OP

    Posted: 24 Sep 2020 09:46 AM PDT

Why is it that you go to a server dedicated for dungeoneering or minigames and everybody is combat 138 and won't play with you?

Edit: I totally respect the veterans of the game and my comments are only constructive criticism of the structure of the DG skill itself. A lot of new people will start playing the game in October when RS launches on Steam and I doubt I'll be the last person to acknowledge the flaws in early level skill training. My only wish is for the game to be fun for everyone at all levels and I had high hopes for this skill when I bought my membership. Feel free to take my opinion for a grain of salt 🤷🏻‍♂️

It has no gamebreaking benefit. Just saves time for the PvMer. And before anyone says would be too op, well apot cd reset is op aswell then.

The strange rock fix that should have happened years ago.

    Posted: 24 Sep 2020 02:35 AM PDT

These activities should give strange rocks:

    • Fletching: Stringing bows, cutting logs into arrow shafts, tipping arrows/bolts, cutting gems into bolt tips.
    • Crafting: Cutting gems, firing pottery.
    • Herblore: Making tar products (eg: Harralander tar).
    • Firemaking: Incense sticks, barbarian firemaking.

    Further improvements:

    • Add to statue from collection bag instead of having to empty the bag first.
    • Put collection bag on the toolbelt.

    Finally Maxed!!!!

Finally after all these years am Maxed!!! ( Maxed on 23/09/2020 19:56 game time).

    Max Cape

    Max Cape Party

Initially it was 15 skills but I accidentally got 99 Dungeoneering while doing ED2 & 99 Divination because I needed to make porters for 99 Archaeology.

Special thanks to Zilandraa for allowing me to Max on his stream, it was an honour.
Shout out to Maikeru as well for all his helpful guides.

Thanks everyone, I love this community <3

    Steam Workshop support!

    Posted: 24 Sep 2020 09:37 AM PDT

With RS coming to steam, could we finally get interfacing sharing in game? It was talked about years ago, but now with steam workshop, it would be a great time to implement it.

The Steam Launch is great, but...

    Posted: 24 Sep 2020 11:44 AM PDT

This could be a great way to get new players on board, but there are two major issues that need to be acknowledged:

    1. Server issues, especially with (hopefully) many more players.

    2. Newbie-friendly tutorials. This is the big one. I suggest adding a list of tutorials in a pause menu or setting that you can click to see a list of them. One for combat, one interface rearrangement, etc. And also, tutorials for each skill. They'd list their respective skill's tutor location, and a basic description of what it's like (for new players to see and go "oh hey that sounds fun). They can check the skills tab to see what they can do where they can train the skill if they're interested.

Runescape can be very confusing in the early game; we all know that. Just having these tutorials be easy to access, IMO, would be very helpful for new players.

(I didn't watch the stream so I don't know any info that might have been specific to it. I only read the news post.)
