Too often I see comments that basically sum up to: "~we will not let you make a suggestion that diverts Jagex resources away from our endgame content". This is a common agenda/narrative that I see run frequently in this sub, but if we're being honest, its toxic and unhealthy for the game. In a data graph released in 2018, r/runescape was ranked with having the largest downvote ratio of any game community subreddit, and with the attitude I see from some people here, its really telling.

We need to do better than that.

Interface Scaling & Camera Offset Beta - UPDATED

We've seen a lot of feedback during the beta so far and based on this we've made some further changes to the beta. While this beta has been geared towards improving readability for owners of 1440p and 4K displays, these changes will most likely have a positive impact on players with standard or smaller display sizes.

Many of you were asking for options to scale the interfaces down and a separate option increase the font size of the chat window.

Changes

We've added experimental interface down scaling options which allow you to scale your interfaces down up to 70%. These can be found under 'Settings -> Graphics'.
The interface scaling options have been changed. 110% and 120% options have been added and 125%/325%/350%/375%/400% have been removed.
It is now possible to adjust the font size of text in the chat window. You can adjust the fonts to 11, 13, 15 or 17pt via the Settings icon in expanded mode or the '-' icon in the non-expanded mode. Alternatively, you can go to 'Settings -> Gameplay -> Messages & Social -> Chat Customisation -> Chat Box Text Size' in the options menu.

We're eager to hear your feedback on these tweaks. We are particularly interested in hearing your thoughts about enabling the camera offset feature by default on all mobile devices.

BM (Raids) Learner session August 14 (16:00-1:00)

Hey guys,

We will be running a Beastmaster Durzag marathon on August 14th (Friday) at 19:00 till an hour after reset (total of 6 hours) (times are in game time). The reason for these marathons are for learners that want to get into raids to have a way of learning mechanics in an environment where they wont get scolded for doing something wrong.

Anyone wanting loot or to build KC is welcome (learners preferred). The main purpose is to teach people the mechanics and how to successfully kill BM. Players will be welcome to learn roles, however if you're new to the boss you will be a DPS.

Role available to learn:

-Pet Tank (discord preferred)

-Base Tank (discord required)

-Chargers (discord preferred)

-DPS (discord preferred)

The event will be starting at 19:00 in game time and I will start calling teams in the following places:

-"PvMing FC" Friends Chat

-"Alright" Clan chat

-Wooden Shield Discord server

Teams and guides can be found in the wooden shield discord server

We are welcome to have experienced players join kills to take on roles and help teach. If you're interested in this PM me on Discord.

Ideally there will be multiple teams going on at once depending on the amount of people that are interested. In each group the ideal number of learners are:

-1-2 if they do not have discord

-3-5 if they have discord

(amounts may change as the marathon goes on)

As a learner I'd recommend bringing t80 arm/weapons as a minimum with stats to match. Having overloads, yaks, and t95 prayers is also helpful but you can do without however it will be a lot harder.

Since we will be camping BM, we will not be doing the puzzle after each kill. Also we want to switch people out for those that want to learn roles, or even make another team, therefore if you are in 3 kills as a dps, you will be asked to leave for those that want to learn (subject to change based on demand for spots).
