Mod Pi's conflicting lava strykewyrm drop rates Posted: 06 Jun 2020 03:32 AM PDT Back when Jagex started revealing drop rates of many items in-game in 2017-18, Mod Pi tweeted the drop rates from lava strykewyrms (and WildyWyrm) to be as follows: Lava strykewyrms on-task: 1/2056 Lava strykewyrms off-task: 1/4096 WildyWyrm: 1/512 (Source: https://twitter.com/JagexPi/status/1027218577550704642) Now, looking more into the WildyWyrm on the Wiki, it's stated that the WildyWyrm drops uniques at a rate of 8 times more commonly than the regular variants, on-task. This again is coming from Mod Pi. (Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/467ejy/wildy_wyrm_wont_attack_anybody_glitch/d035bym/) So, what's going on?
My own drops more resemble the 1/4k on-task rate, but that could just be bad luck (3 rares in 12k kc). I'm not complaining as they're decent money regardless, but it would be nice to know what the actual rates are. [link] [comments]

MMO player curious about Runescape. What's this game all about these days? Posted: 06 Jun 2020 02:37 PM PDT Randomly saw Runescape pop up on the android app store and reminded me this game exists. I've heard bits about it over the years, but looks like it's still going on strong. What kind of MMO is this? What's the game like right now? At first glance it kind of reminds me of Ultima Online with better graphics, is that at all accurate? A buddy of mine and I are looking for something to play together, that offers good co-op experience. Neither of us have played Runescape. For those that play, can you 'sell' me on the game? Fun parts, bad parts, things that may not be common knowledge about features and things you can do in the game, etc? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Increase Light Animica Stone Spirit Drops Posted: 06 Jun 2020 06:49 AM PDT Title sais it all Currently Dark Animica Stone Spirits are dropped by 30+ mobs/monsters Light Animica Stone Spirits have about 4-5 methods to farm them. RDT/Super RDT/ TT i'm obv no expert on balance or the economy so i can't say for sure where they would fit without distrupting everything but i do beleive they need to be dropped by more than 3 monsters Anyways ty! Unpopular(?) Opinion: There IS a wrong way to play. Posted: 05 Jun 2020 06:33 PM PDT I hope this isn't actually an unpopular opinion, but it might be. People always say "There's no wrong way to play RuneScape" (presumably excluding rulebreaking gameplay). I think there's one wrong way to play. RuneScape is a game with tons of different activities with a wide variety of gameplay. As such, it's also a game with tons of different tutorials. Skipping through the tutorials without paying any attention to them and then putting the burden on other people to teach you how something works, that's the wrong way to play. If you are playing RuneScape, you are accepting to play the occasional tutorial for various pieces of content. I'm not referring to people who skip quests, as much as I'm a lorehound that's a valid way to play, or to people who skip tutorials but then go hunt down a guide on their own. Both of those are fine. But people who skip through a tutorial and then immediately go, "So how's this work?", even openly admitting "oh I didn't read anything lol," etc. are doing it wrong. THAT is the wrong way to play RuneScape. Bonus points if there's a quick jump to whining about something being "too complicated." If you played the tutorial and didn't get it but tried to, that's fine. Everyone learns differently. But if you play a tutorial for something, admit you didn't read anything, and then ask other players to explain it to you, you're an asshole. Go look up and read or watch a guide; If you don't get it that's your own fault. [link] [comments]
