    Truthfully, this feature should just straight up be ingame, displayed on your gizmo interface when you slot in the components. RuneScape requires frequent referencing to outside resources to reasonably play and it needs to be reduced. Lets try to get this issue reduced before RS mobile release.

    I know it's WAY too late for this, but I guess I wanted to get this long-ass rant off my chest. Jagex didn't really lock any Archaeology behind quests, so the reasonings behind these replacements mostly serve two principles: lore consistency and a better usage of the replacement character. I guess spoilers for quests ahead?

    Why Warforge shouldn't have Zanik: Does this even need to be explained?! Everybody's sick and tired of her; just stop shoving her into content and let her die in peace for the fifth-sixth time. Not to mention she's supposed to be hidden in Dorgesh-Kaan until the first cave goblin quest, and all the other places she's supposed to be and things she's supposed to be doing in between/during all the other quests she features in. What a mess. I don't even know if she as a person would be all that excited about a place the god she renounced used to help enslave her people.

    Why Warforge should have Zarador: Here's an underused character with a very cool unique model, story, and background that fits perfectly. He's been shown to be probably the most intellectual of the Bandosians, while still remaining a staunch Bandosian. He would certainly be interested and invested in a place like the Warforge, and it would be a good chance to learn more about him and his race.

    Why Kharid-et shouldn't have Azzanadra: This is mostly because he's supposed to be stuck in his pyramid until Desert Treasure. And doesn't he have better Zaros-appointed things to do besides watch archaeologists uncover secrets he already knows about and was there for? I will give him his prior connection to the Digsite as Dr. Nabanik though.

    Why Kharid-et should have Wahisietel: Like Zarador, Wahisietel is ignored and one of the most intellectual of his race and faction. He was already gathering information about the Mahjarrat when we met him in his human alias. Also, at the end of Children of Mah, he himself basically said that he needs to get a life, and expressed his frustration that Azzanadra gets to do all the fun stuff. This would have been the perfect opportunity.

    Why Everlight shouldn't have Vanescula: I frankly have the least problem with Everlight's manager out of the three. Nevertheless, the adventurer doesn't find out that she isn't as evil, scary, and mysterious as we thought until all the way into Branches of Darkmeyer; and even then her alliance with humans isn't confirmed until the end of the entire vampyre quest series. Speaking of which, she DEFINITELY has better things to do--governing an entire race and region that had just undergone intense political and social upheaval. Furthermore, despite the explanations in-game, it is a bit weird and...disrespectful? to have a Zamorakian whose literal brother(s) ruined the location itself to be running it.

    Why Everlight should have Safalaan (EDIT actually Alabaz made a better point of using Aeonisig Raispher in the comments): Safalaan isn't a perfect candidate, but he's miles better and much more accessible. We officially meet him earlier, as an ally, in Darkness of Hallowvale. He should be very curious about his mother's history and his Icyene side.

    I read somewhere that the overused manager characters were chosen because they were recognizable. But if Jagex was concerned about new players, they wouldn't recognize these characters anyway because they're new players. If they were concerned about older players, veteran players have done the quests and would either know Zarador/Wahisietel/Safalaan, or not care about the lore in the first place for it to matter to them who the managers are.

    Oh and I feel like I should still state that I really like the Archaeology skill and the digsites; I just wish Jagex had made better choices about this.

    Okay, let's clear the air about the upcoming DXP

    As you're all aware, another DXP will be hitting RS on the 8th of may. Some are against some for. Let's focus on the positive because all the posts I see are negative about it. In this trying time of unprecedented and extreme measures, positivity goes a long way.

    Likely, there is a financial aspect on Jagex's side. Of course. But with people trapped in isolation craving human interaction, the social aspect of gaming can do wonders.

    Archaeology has brought this community together like never before, the worlds are bustling and its brought hundreds if not thousands of returning players home. This is financially and ethically the best time to launch a dxp event.

    Keeping people indoors to grind exp is helping the global pandemic and if this dxp saves even 1 life, it is 100% worth it. No human life is worth less than having a 3rd dxp event in 7 months.

    Stay positive and stay strong.

    Edit: To all the people complaining about exp. Wow. Just wow.

    Since the inquisitor staff has/will be replacing SoS as the best in slot at most relevant bosses and is also significantly cheaper why not give people a reason to use SoS by giving it a relevant special attack of similar strength to the other telos weapons?
