Didn’t have enough time this morning to screenshot and share so took a picture with my phone. THANK YOU MOD POERKIE FOR THIS!

When people complain that Jagex doesn't add more quests

    Posted: 30 Jan 2020 08:29 AM PST

Let us be able to disable other people's pets.

    Posted: 30 Jan 2020 01:42 PM PST

The dragons and flapping fish on the ground making horrendous ambient sounds, making me mute them entirely are enough reason. However, it has got to the point where the pets legitimately ruin the fps of my game. Being a college student I'm not fortunate enough to bring my entire rig or afford a high end gaming laptop. Contrary to popular belief, running Runescape on high settings is quite taxing (thanks mainly to pets and particle effects). Allowing us to remove these horrendous sounding and looking creatures would alleviate these issues. Thanks. Sorry for sounding sarcastic.

I've seen people asking for a rare token shop refresh, but I have my own question

    Posted: 30 Jan 2020 10:17 AM PST

Why is "limited stock" a thing for rare tokens in the first place?

Like, if I have tokens and a cosmetic is sold for tokens, why shouldn't I be able to buy it? Why should only a luck 1,000 players who logged in right after a Monday update be the ones who get to buy out the stock?

Tokens are a kick in the teeth to get from the maw once you've bought everything you want that's not out of stock.

Jagex feels like a stepping stone, not a final location for a career in the games industry

    Posted: 30 Jan 2020 02:55 AM PST

It's no secret that Jagex underpays, from published numbers, to estimations, to recent press reports and more recently the inner turmoil going on at Jagex due to the variance between staff and managements salaries. It is also no secret that you get what you pay for, you aren't going to get the cream of the crop if you are situated in Cambridge, and charge barely enough to cover the rent costs, so, you're more likely to get those that are either unskilled, under experienced or a mixture of both.

Clearly, there is a great amount of talent within Jagex, though there used to be far more not too long ago. I think that the people that have remained just love the community and the game itself, they are passionate - but they too move on over time, that just seems to be how things are.

One of the things that I realised recently after watching Shauny's streams are that most of the big names that are notable within the community came from pretty humble beginnings. Mod Mat K was essentially a community guy, that through sheer luck and persistence, managed to become the head of OSRS. Ramen shared his anxieties with impostor syndrome, that because he didn't get a degree in the job he is currently doing it caused him to feel bad for the position that he found himself in, despite making great achievements for our game without such a degree.

Something that has remained consistent throughout, is that many developers worked their way up from support, to QA, learned RuneScript and taught themselves how to develop content. I think this is great how Jagex has such a pathway, and it is an amazing opportunity for the likes of those that are willing to persist and put in the hard work - Mod Mat K and Shauny especially. I think that what this does tell us though, is that Jagex isn't hiring talent, but creating it. If you are a notable and skilled developer, QA, community manager or shudder live events person, you aren't aspiring to get a job at Jagex. They aren't really notable, the pay is shitty, and general internal sentiment is relatively negative.

Anyway, just an observation. I don't think that it is inherently bad, though I wonder how much better Runescape would be if Jagex were willing to invest a little more of that China money back into their wages, non inclusive of executives that print their salaries to the wrong printer. I also want to stress that while Jagex has hired industry "talent", none of them are really on the ground, but majorly executive decisions.

120 Farming cape bug still not fixed

    Posted: 30 Jan 2020 03:01 AM PST

Just got 120 farming cape today and was excited to try the perk out, turns out that the perk has been bugged for at least 2 months. Instead of providing supercompost, the cape has been using my stored ultracompost on everything, even patches I have set to not compost at the leprechaun. This really sucks since I only want to use ultracompost on herbs and it works perfectly fine with the 99 cape. Please fix

Post from 2 months ago about the bug

Allow us to make fetch casket scrolls from meerkats pouches.

    Posted: 30 Jan 2020 11:16 AM PST

This has been suggested several times with no logical reason that I'm aware of why it can't happen. Fetch casket scrolls have risen so much since the Clue Scrolls rework, they're 16,000 each atm which is ridiculously expensive.

What's a good fast way to get 10,000 kills for the blightreaver 2h sword and 2h staff?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2020 02:48 PM PST

Just wondering. I don't care about the gp/exp it gives. So if killing goblins somewhere with a cannon is a good idea then I'd love to hear it.

Also, does using a cannon count as long as you are wearing it?

    Thanks in advance!

Does this happen to anyone else?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2020 04:08 PM PST

My screen setup is fine. I minimize the window, and then when I appear back to RuneScape my tabs are a mess. My chat windows are all gone. One of my windows moved across the whole screen screen, sometimes map will resize itself, etc. It's soooo annoying.
