My 120 Farming setup and guide.

    Posted: 19 Jan 2020 10:25 AM PST

Thought I would post my setup and path since I haven't seen anyone talk about farming runs in a while. This is what I have done for 99-120 farming and should take 2-3 months if you are doing daily runs.

I normally start at lumby w84 to get a fast 10% pulse core boost and since a full run only takes 13-16 minutes you can easily burn one of your pulse cores with less than 2min on the timer to refresh. With bladed dive and double surge you should be able to get all 14 trees and 5 bushes in around 10min. Once you have the full master farmer outfit you should be casting rapid growth on all your trees twice. This should allow you to reduce the death rate dramatically if doing a single run a day and make it a lot easier to do a double tree run every day since fruit tress only take ~10 hours to grow instead of 14. The farms only need to be visited once a day at most.

Usually its something like this for order... Lumby > Varrock tree > Varrock bush > Faly > Rimmington > Catherby > Taverly > Juju > Karamja > Monastery > Lletya > Trahearn > Meilyr > Crwys > Miscellania > Gnome Stronghold > Gnome village.

You then use your farm teleport and Check/replace dragons and chinchompas and then do the same thing on the Ranch with salamanders and dinos.

    My Inventory

    6x Magic Trees

7x Fruit Trees (Palm or Guarana are best gp/xp right now)

    1x Calquat

    5x Bush seeds

    10x Black dragons

    12x Chinchompas

6-10 Salamanders or breed and raise dinos in large pens.

For those of you without a lot of cash to burn you should be always doing salamanders and buying unchecked dragons on the GE as they are some of the best gp/xp and especially if you are using the raw bird meat from Oo'glog.

Average points per clue including bonuses

    Posted: 19 Jan 2020 09:44 AM PST

With the increased popularity of clue scrolls in the last couple of months, I thought it would be a good idea to calculate the true value of each clue tier in Treasure Trail points. For those who don't know, you get awarded points for every clue you complete. For every 10th, 50th, 100th, 250th and 500th, you get a certain amount of bonus points, depending on the tier clue you complete. This is exactly how many points you can expect per solved clue for all tiers.

    Here is the calculation: https://imgur.com/gallery/qySBsMR

    A couple things to note:
    > The points for every 10th, 50th, etc.. clue were pulled from the RS3 official wiki.
    > The 'Occurence * points' column is based on the amount of times a value is awarded in the 500 clues, deducted by the base point value for the clue since I counted that already in the first row. For example, a 10th clue is awarded 8 times per 100 clues (for a total of 40 times in the 500), since you get a different point value for every 50th and every 100th. So from 0-100 clues, you get 8 x '10th reward' + 1 x '50th reward' + 1 x '100th reward'

    Conclusion:
The bonus points awarded in every clue tier equal out to being a flat 25% increase over the base value of the clue tier, meaning there isn't any clue tier that benefits more from the bonuses than other tiers.
The average numbers only count if a full set of 500 clues are solved. If you only do 400, you will not get this average amount of points since you didn't get all the bonuses.

    Reviewing One Piercing Note

    Posted: 19 Jan 2020 10:58 AM PST

Hello all I've been working on doing every quest in both OSRS and RS3 and decided to review the quests I play. I'm playing through the quests in the timeline order per RS3.

I did One Piercing Note today, and it ended up being the best quest I've played in Runescape so far!

The Good: The custom soundtrack was fucking great. There were songs that had actual vocals in it, which isn't something that I'm used to from Runecape. Each character was relevantly fleshed out and had great voice acting. The quest had actual creepy parts, like when the screaming started. The twist at the end was great and at least sorta unexpected. Cool rewards.

The Bad: There were a few cut scenes that had stuttering issues. The process of making sister cabbage took a long ass time to figure out for me. Having to go reset the clock in the middle of the final confrontation was really anticlimactic.

The Discussion: What's your thoughts on this quest? Who did you suspect the murderer was, and were you surprised when it was revealed who the actual one was?

If you want to watch the video version of this review click here! I honestly think it's my best video yet, so it'd be awesome if a few people checked it out :)

Why don't we get quests anymore?

    Posted: 18 Jan 2020 08:26 PM PST

I miss the days when we'd get a few quests per year. Some of them would be mid-level, some elite level, others would be the next part in a major storyline (mahjarrats, vampyres etc) and they'd reveal some mindblowing details we never knew before/we never would've seen coming about certain NPCS. Those were the good days. We'd have active clans and friends chats dedicated to quests, we had people analyzing every piece of dialogue, we had people coming up with their own theories. We had Jmods that cared, I remember when they used to come into friends/clanchats to talk to us about upcoming quests.

Those were the good old times, nowadays we got nothing.

    What happened to this game?

Runescape Mobile worth it for a new player??

    Posted: 19 Jan 2020 03:26 PM PST

So I've always put off playing Runescape for years as I always leaned more towards WoW. Lately I've been looking for another mmo to waste time with and Runescape does look appealing and I would love to get into it on my phone.

Would just starting out with the mobile version be worth it as a newcomer to the series?
