remove the wilderness. waste of dev time fixing bugs and unhealthy luring in the game. Posted: 05 Dec 2019 02:33 AM PST The wildernes is a pain in the ass because whenever they come out with new content, they have to spend dev time fixing bugs for content nobody willingly wants to do, but they have to because it's the only viable methods for that portion of the game. Luring happens daily, with posts almost everyday on this reddit about people getting convinced to leave their abby creatures spot to go back to the monk of Zamorak and get pked for full Torva + scythe. Some guy gets 200mil and likely rwts it while a player who just wanted exp lost everything. Is that really a good experience for this game? What is the wilderness really offering at this point besides malicious ways of obtaining gp and likely rwting it after? There have been tons of ideas for the game with abilities and items and Jagex often just says "it would be too broken in PvP". What? For the 3 people that do it? Why is PvP being used as an excuse not to do certain balancing changes for the rest of the game? The PvP community in rs3 is dead. It's pretty much nothing. All the clans that were left went to 07 because it offers them a bigger community and good PvP with actual balancing changes. If you want PvP in RS3, keep it to minigames, make minigames good by putting better rewards and making PvP a fun experience instead of an experience full of toxicity. I remember when defenders were made they were like "yeah gotta make sure defenders aren't broken in PvP". What a shame if a few people used a defender in PvP, something that is non-existent. New emotes in the game? Gotta make sure it doesn't stall your character now. It's just a huge waste of time QA'ing all these new items in PvP when PvP is dead. [link] [comments]

The anti-bankstanding software has been updated - Taskman 5.1 Posted: 05 Dec 2019 04:01 AM PST Last week, we announced the upcoming release of the Taskman Spreadsheet v5.0. Last night, we released 5.1, which brought script improvements, bugfixes and new tasks. Today, we share with you once more the Taskman playstyle. If you ever find yourself with too many goals, or find yourself idling for most of your online hours, we have the solution. The Taskman Mode Spreadsheet is the critically-acclaimed anti-bankstanding tool that helps you explore new content, revisit old content and ensures you always have something to do. Your account, be that a new or old one, will follow the orders of a spreadsheet that randomly generates tasks for what you should next do within Runescape. The tasks range from fighting of the mild tempered Telos to catching the gruesome and fear-inspiring Big Bass. It's split into tiers, based on the difficulty of the task. By default you start in the easy tier and progress to the next once you hit 100% completion, but would you rather have tasks randomly generated from ANY tier, this is also an option! The goal is to complete everything, to have fun along the way, and put yourself to the test. Interested? Hop on over to our discord channel or join the TaskManiacs clan chat ingame to learn the finer details of our beloved spreadsheet. FARMING SUGGESTION - Ultracompost machine Posted: 05 Dec 2019 10:28 AM PST basecly the machine would make easier o create ultra compost it'd autocollect the dragon manure and put it into the machine and u'd grab after a few days. [link] [comments]
Treasure Trails - Quality of life suggestions Posted: 05 Dec 2019 03:44 PM PST In the last week I've really got hooked on Clues in RS, from doing them I've ran into some annoyances and it turns out that other frequent clue people have! The awesome people from Clue Chasers created this massive list of suggestions for Clues and I thought it was worth posting it here, so hopefully it gets traction and so Jmods at least see it and can consider maybe doing any of them! This is very wordy, but shows how much more can be done to make Clues feel even nicer to do. If this post is useful I may look to do one similar for PvM, let me know what you think as the clue people have done a great job :D General

Why is the art style constantly changing instead of finding one and being consistent? Posted: 05 Dec 2019 12:39 PM PST I love how beautiful this game and appreciate almost every art style but im so confused why they keep trying new styles instead of showing us before doing it. Doing this causes the game to fall behind itself and more and more re-works will have to be made to catch up but it feels like it never will. I'm not talking about the game world but more specifically armor and building objects. I first noticed this with the premier armor and now more with the Yak Track armor and PoF farm house objects. It has this ugly looking hole punched metal look like it wasn't polished and it looks really bad. Im just curious why the devs are doing this instead of being consistent? I think the style we got with Solak is amazing and it should have stayed like that. It looks really good and doesn't need changing. For example, here is the Masterwork set released in January and here is the the Oathbreaker set from Yak Track TLDR: All the new metal has jaggies and it looks ugly. [link] [comments]

Make the other variants of the RooT BGH Dinos have a chance to appear in Big Game Hunter Posted: 05 Dec 2019 07:50 AM PST For example say I get a triple Corbicula Rex encounter, one could be a normal one, the 2nd a Corbicula nemus and the 3rd a purpura, they could also have a chance to drop their respective eggs for the ranch. This could introduce more variety into the encounters instead of being always the same models [link] [comments]

"Reputation" is a bad design overall and makes related updates less enjoyable Posted: 04 Dec 2019 04:58 PM PST Happened with Invention, with Menaphos and now it's happening with Farming. We already have a level/quest req in order to make use of some benefits anyway, what's the point in double locking content? [link] [comments]

Change the farming skill cape perks Posted: 04 Dec 2019 08:30 PM PST 99 farming should auto note any produce gathered by default and then have a chance to collect all remaining in one tick as well. 120 farming perk of super compost should be given to 99 farming to further promote training the skill and 120 should provide ultra compost. Edit: After all the comments I still think ultra compost should be on the 120 cape, but locked behind 120, obviously, max farming guild reputation and a donation of 10 dragons with the "regular" perk. This would fit thematically as the farming guild recognises you are a master farmer who has contributed so much to the guild they agree to tend your patches with ultra compost made from your dragons, also the herb patch at the farming guild becomes a disease free patch.
