    Hey there!

Since getting into clues I found information was lacking on clues, specifically how many steps to complete them.

Massive props to Jagex for sharing this with me!

Without further ado here's the official clue steps per clue tier!

    Without totem of treasure:

    • Easy: 3-5
    • Med: 4-6
    • Hard: 5-7
    • Elite: 5-7
    • Master: 6-8

    With totem of treasure:

    • Easy: 2-4
    • Med: 3-5
    • Hard: 4-6
    • Elite: 4-6
    • Master: 5-7

These steps are now updated on the respective pages for the clues on the Wiki also.

    Enjoy!

So I’ve apparently unintentionally raised an RSAsshole

    Posted: 20 Dec 2019 01:51 PM PST

My 2 year old is trying to tell me to get out of my seat so she can sit in it.

    How is she telling me?

She's saying "Hop!" She's literally telling me to hop.

I don't even know where she picked up this idea, I haven't even really played played since Anachronia, yet the way she was telling me to get out of my seat made me think of those kinds of players.

    Fuck.

~6% of people who have unlocked Invention have 200m in the skill

    Posted: 20 Dec 2019 11:00 AM PST

    According to the highscores;

    • 263,967 people have 80 Div
    • 240,513 people show up on the Invetntion hiscores

That means that there is somewhere between 240k and 263k for the total number of people that have unlocked invention, on the other hand, 15,796 people have 200m Invention.

That means that somewhere between 5.9% and 6.6% of people that have unlocked invention have 200m in the skill

Add Farming Guild Rep to the Motherlode MAW

    Posted: 20 Dec 2019 12:34 PM PST

If Jagex has no intention of nerfing this absolute hell of an unecessary, non-interactive grind for less than inspiring rewards; for the love of Sliske, please just add some kind of reward to the Maw or even Deep Sea Merch stock that gives players a chunk of farming guild rep.

Raising Max stack from 2.1b now that java is dead?

    Posted: 20 Dec 2019 09:16 AM PST

A thought crossed my mind today, with java now dead is it possible to change 2.1b from the max stack limit? I could be wrong but i thought the java client was the big limiting factor for still using a 32bit integer. with the value of gold so low that most weapons on release cant be traded for just cash is a bit silly. For reference the difference between a max 32bit is 2,147,483,647 to 64 bit is 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 (billion vs Quintillion)

PSA: Finding the first five presents for Santa will give you "The Merry" title.

    Posted: 20 Dec 2019 09:12 AM PST

The title is green and red colored, you do not need to find the presents on the day the are released. I found all 5 today and I was able to claim the title.

Current present locations as of this post:

    1. Lumbridge - Next to the fishing shop.
    2. Al kharid - North of the bank.
    3. Lumbridge - Outside the chicken pen on the east side of the river.
    4. Varrock - Jolly boar in entrance, north of Varrock.
    5. Varrock - In the palace, climb the first set of stairs and it will be right next to them.

    Happy present hunting :)

Reasons to max after the PvM Hub

    Posted: 20 Dec 2019 01:03 PM PST

I've been hearing some people saying that maxing will become pointless because of the Garden of War (yes, my preferred name. Why'd they change it to War's Retreat?) But there will still be a few reasons to do so.

    • Skillcape perks. Three skillcape perks being on any cape is because of the max cape. Without it, things like a Fight Kiln cape will have zero perks on it. This means no free Defence cape signs, the Strength Dismember buff, or higher Bakriminel bolt activations on a Fight Kiln cape. You can have one perk from the Anachronia base stand, but just one. Unmaxed players can wear the combatant's cape, but this can only hold two perks, which still means losing out on a perk.

    • Best in slot damage bonuses. Yes, it's mainly used when using more than one style. But niche uses are still a use. Also remember that using the Fight Kiln's BIS stats without a max cape comes at the cost of having no skillcape perks. The combatant's cape's bonuses are also lower.

    • Instant Grand Exchange access at any time. The Garden of War won't have any Grand Exchange clerks. The next fastest way to the GE without items, i.e. the LOTD, is lodestoning to Prifddinas, which can't be done in combat.

    • Being the maximum level. This reason is more subjective than the others. But plenty of people do want to have the maximum skill level for the sake of having the maximum skill level. I went for max not for the max guild or the boss portal (I didn't boss very much at the time), but because I wanted to. The skills themselves tend to have useful benefits as well.

Make Dead Crops give you material to use in composting

    Posted: 20 Dec 2019 01:42 AM PST

Like if I were to clear out Dead Sweetcorn, it would give me "Dead Plants" that stacks like Weeds, and can be used as Compost. Almost like a "better luck next time" while giving you means of doing better next time.
