Wow I am majorly in love with this game Posted: 23 Apr 2020 03:26 PM PDT Been a 2007scape player since it first released, thought rs3 was a load of shit not worth the time totally inferior blah blah Nah I'm absolutely loving it, all the changes feel awesome. The graphics are surprisingly amazing (that water though). Soundtrack is good, community is x1000 better, I've never been much of a pvper so I don't mind if thats pretty dead, but right now I'm having a blast! I'm loving some of the skilling updates like mining and smithing, I can't wait to get into summoning and dungeoneering [link] [comments]

Dungeoneering bosses are ridiculously weak Posted: 23 Apr 2020 02:46 PM PDT I'm not sure when these bosses got nerfed but they definitely weren't this weak when dungeoneering got released. Most of them are easier to kill than some regular high-level creatures in the dungeon. It's sad to see them this way as the fun is taken away. Some bosses don't even get to use their special ability before they are dead. Can they be buffed so they are a little more challenging again? I know some people don't want slower floor because of slower exp rates. For those I would like to suggest slightly increasing the exp pper dungeon along with increasing the boss difficulty. Jagex - the real problem with inquisitor staff is that it is afk-able Posted: 23 Apr 2020 05:28 AM PDT Despite jagex's recent hopeful nerf attempt, the Inquisitor staff's price has dropped from 400m to 250m in two days. It will soon hit 150m again if nothing is done. This clearly shows the supposed nerf has failed. Jagex's thinking was like this: (i) heavily nerf staff drop rate below lvl 107 to make alts farming meaningless; (ii) maintain a small chance for drop to keep new players interested in the skill. Sadly, the solution did more harm to legitimate new players (who now have a near-zero chance for staff pieces) than to alts, the mass of which will eventually get lvl 107. Jagex's approach failed to touch crux of the matter - i.e. alts thrived on money-making methods that are afkable, and legitimate players are willing to make efforts to get what they want. The recent nerf made no change to the way staff pieces are obtained - i.e. afk-ing. Alts will soon reach lvl 107 and continue to afk for staff pieces like before. Legitimate players suffer because even though they are actively paying attention to the screen for 6 hours, they can not compete with the 10 alts afk-ing 16 hours a day and lazily controlled by one person. My solution aims to differentiate between alts and legitimate players: (a) staff pieces will only have a chance to drop when the player has done ten 100% time sprites in a row, and resets if 100% is not being hit again every 2 minutes; and (b) even so, the chance of staff piece drop remains negligible unless at least 3 archaeology boosts are applied. This does four things: (i) afk-ing with alts will no longer work - people who are lazily clicking on archaeology remains on an android phone every 5 minutes should not be entitled to a drop; (ii) new legitimate players who take the effort to click on time sprites every time will be given a chance (no matter how small) for staff pieces; (iii) dedicated players can get a reasonable chance at the staff by buying boosts AND paying due attention to the time sprites. Alts will not pay for the boosts if they are expensive enough; (iv) this revitalise chronotes, which will soon drop to 100 ea after everyone unlocks the important upgrades from shop. I really appreciate jagex's quick nerf to the staff after my last post; hopefully jagex mods will respond to this as well before the best-in-slot inquisitor staff is owned by every middle-levelled player in the game. If this happens, there is no reason to do telos anymore. [link] [comments]

How about a Prayer Points Bar (much like HP/Adrenaline Bar) overhead? (togglable) Posted: 23 Apr 2020 10:14 AM PDT Keeping track of prayer is very important in a fight, and it's arguably easier to run out of prayer without noticing than to run out of lifepoints without noticing, although the latter can quickly follow hah; in the spirit of making PvM more accessible to learners and a general QOL, wouldn't if be nice to also see our prayer that way? Togglable so everyone that dislikes it can just turn it off, it'd bother no one, just a win-win in general with no downsides in general, thoughts? [link] [comments]
