Nerf summoning potions, NOT the new familiars Posted: 04 Apr 2020 11:42 AM PDT The only reason the damage is insane is because elitist PVMers are spamming summoning potions to get UNLIMITED POWER. If you nerf the familiar, speed runs will still spam summoning potions regardless. Meanwhile 99.9% of regular players get a flat out nerf. A 15 or 30 second cooldown still makes the potion relevant, you bring it and pop it to do a little extra dps in phases where you need a boost. Incense sticks are still relevant. The familiars do decent damage for everyone normally using them. The problem is the summoning potion, not the familiar. [link] [comments]

RS3 Appreciation Post from an Oldschool Player Posted: 04 Apr 2020 03:45 PM PDT Hello fellow RS3 players/mods! I created this post to show my appreciation for the "older brother" of my favorite game, Runescape. I left Runescape back in 2013 because I didn't really like the direction the game had been going and I was kinda burned out after I maxed my account. For the last five years or so I have been playing OSRS and progressed quite a bit as well. Because I was quite sure that I would never return to RS3 in the future, I sold everything on my account and traded it for bonds. Three weeks ago my brother started a RS3 Ironman account and I decided to give the game a second chance. Oh my, have I fallen in love with it again! I promised myself that I wouldn't focus on grinding out skills and putting in way too much effort in what really is just a fun game to hang out after work. By doing so, I discovered that RS3 is extremely immersive if you don't spend all your time focusing on maximum efficiency. The lore around the countless quests and characters, the broad spectrum of unique and enjoyable skilling possibilities and, most of all, the environment! Yesterday, I was hunting some viridian chinchompas with only the ambient sounds turned on. I had turned my lights off and really felt as if it was me currently standing in the dark and gloomy swamps of morytania. It was really mindblowing for a second. Seeing the astonishingly real-looking sky and the moon (Zanaris), mixed with quiet and scary howlings of werewolves and eerie vampyre noises in the distance almost gave me goosebumps. Again, Runescape 3 is a great game and it's really sad that the player base has been shrinking throughout the last few years. Although this is most likely due to the microtransaction problem (which also chased me away back then), I truly hope that better times will come for our big brother. :) (Oh, and sorry for this long post. Haven't planned to ramble that much, at first.) [link] [comments]
