When we inevitably get all skills to 120 and get the updated max cape can we go with LegendArts design?

Can we get data for the DXP Extended Event?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2019 04:51 AM PST

So according to Jagex we know that on previous DXP weekends, only about ~1% played for 36 hours, which was the baseline for the current DXP event. They changed it to promote healthier playstyles, and to accommodate those that don't want to play like hermits for 3 days, or just can't play at all on the weekends.

    Mainly:

    • Of the players that played, what percentage used up all of the 36 hours? Of those that didn't, how many used up at least half? A quarter?

    • What percentage of players used their hours up by the end of the weekend (3 days)? In 5/ 7/ 10 days?

    • If possible, can we see how many players used up, say, a quarter of their hours by day X, then say, half their hours by day Y?

I think it'd be really cool to just see how many took advantage of being able to have a DXP week, and to see how many more players actually got to take advantage of it. Or to see how many players continued the previous "play all weekend" playstyle. Or to see how many didn't use the full 36 at all.

    Lucky charms

    Posted: 02 Dec 2019 02:38 PM PST

Since lucky charms can be freely converted without any visible drawback, wouldn't it be simpler if there was only one type of lucky charm that worked on all Elite Dungeons?

Ranch out of time dinos give fewer beans than dragons?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2019 01:55 PM PST

Tried selling an adolescent arcane apoterrasaur to see how much it would go for...400 beans. Dragons, which have a lower farming requirement, are much easier to get, and take the exact same time to grow (I checked) give 2k beans, five times as much. Hell, zygomites and yaks give twice as many beans. Who did this, and why? Like...I thought I was done being disappointed, but Jagex one ups themselves yet again.

If you dont care about the breeding log, just throw 6 salamanders in the small pen

    Posted: 02 Dec 2019 07:37 AM PST

They can use seeds as food (~20 gp ea) take ~3 days to grow and give 30k base XP per salamander.

On top of that, they cost 100 beans from granny, hot can be sold for 175 beans (192 with outfit)

Essentially free 180k base xp every 3 days

Bug: Giant ent doesn't work on golden dragonfruit

    Posted: 02 Dec 2019 01:04 PM PST

Noticed over the past week that the giant ent never proc's when harvesting golden dragonfruit, except for when the farming cape notes and collects the produce in one go - and I'm not convinced this isn't just the greenfingers aura being mislabelled.

    120's feedback and beyond

    Posted: 02 Dec 2019 08:18 AM PST

    This is my opinion..

So 120 herb had no new herbs added? I thought jagex said they weren't releasing the 120s until they were "filled out" no where near it. Just filled the gaps with "improved recepie s"... Ok. I mean don't get me wrong the update was pretty cool, but no where near complete as they stated. Only a handful of new content. And no new ways to train the skill.

This herb update gets a 6 out of 10 from me. Seems like a money grab for key profits to improve the Q4 numbers..

Farming is sort of the same way. Only a handful of new "squash these to make these on everything" deals. Not a fan of the new dino farm teleport. Way to much wide open area wasted. Looks empty. The npcs on the beach just look odd sitting out there like that without even a hut. I'm also not a fan of locking most of the eggs and new seeds to Big Game Hunter. Seems jagex is struggling keeping people engaged with their prime update of the year so they are forcing engagement by adding all the new stuff to that. Just seem cheap and rushed. They could of added more eggs to the shop imo.

7 out of 10 on farming 120. A little better then herb but not by much imo.

I hope.. I really do.. that jagex is going to do the right thing with Archeology. Jagex has the worst track record in the world for running things into the ground.. especially on a launch.

Now on to the opinions about our Halloween event, cutting the beach, winter weekends.. whoever is making these calls needs to be fired... RuneScapes schedule this year has been just plain garbage imo.

I'm sure some of you won't like my feedback and that's ok. I've been playing this game for a very long time and I feel like every voice should be heard. That's the only chance we have at improving things for the future.

Some of the mods do a great job to the best of your abilities and I apploud y'all for that I really do. Great work. It takes a lot of time and effort into coding and testing this stuff. Hats off to all of you for that.

I believe most of the issues are from upper management and the old heads that have been around the game for a long time. I'm not going to name any names but they know who they are. I believe they use to have love for this game but over time they sort of drifted away and now it just is about the money and what pays the bills. I'd be surprised if they even load up the client anymore.. those are the people making all the trash decisions. In my opinion they need to get with the program or step down and give newer people who do have the passion and love for the game take control and make decisions about what goes into our game. Because frankly it's been shit.

That's really all the feedback I'm wanting to give at this time.

Yours truly.. A RuneScape veteran.. 8 year loyalty crown holder. And soon to be trimmed comp player.

How to fix any future Runepass

    Posted: 02 Dec 2019 07:24 AM PST

It's pretty obvious Jagex doesn't know what makes a good battle pass, and I have seen very few people who actually enjoy the current version *(outside of rewards, those are mostly fine).

The current Runepass is basically dailies that are given to you all at once. Nobody wants to make 20k overloads, 50k hydra pouches, or be forced to drop everything for a month and grind out specific tasks. This pass defines how you play the game, rather than compliments every players play style, like most successful passes do.

Future passes should be changed to a "point" system, that rewards everyone for playing the game the way they want to play it. (name it whatever they want).

    Example:

    • The pass is 50 levels
    • 1k "points" per level, for 50k total "points"
    • Any skilling activity that gives XP grants 1~ "point"
    • Any monster kills grant 1-5 "points" based on combat level
    • Bosses grant X "points" (depends on boss)
    • Completing slayer tasks grants X "points" (probably in the 10~50 range)
    • Bonds can be redeemed for 5k~ "points"
    • Quests could give 100+ "points" per completion, but people might not like that since they're one time only
    • Unique challenges related to each pass can be added, which award some extra points. Like 1k "points" for making 100 yak pouches, or double points from archeology turn ins for an archeology pass.

Doing it this way allows everyone to participate, no matter if they're low level, high level, or an ironman. Currently ironmen and low levels are essentially barred from the pass entirely, because it requires thousands of high level materials for single tasks.

Everyone will progress by simply playing the game. This is exactly how battle passes work in many successful games (PUBG, Fortnite, Dota2, LoL, etc).

You can still buy your way through, and people still WILL buy their way through. How do you think Fortnite rakes in so much money from theirs, which works exactly like this?

You wouldn't have to make an entirely new system, with tons of new challenges each pass either. Just refill the reward slots with new items. Plus, any new reworks (like the new potions) would automatically count without you needing to change anything.

The current system is going to have nobody participating, and will burn people out. I don't think any of us are going to keep paying $10-15 to grind 50 grueling, very specific, challenges for these rewards. But, I know I personally would absolutely spend money if I earned them while playing the game.

    DXP Week Has Been Fantastic!

    Posted: 01 Dec 2019 07:49 PM PST

It felt like more of a fun relaxing thing to do rather than a grind. I achieved my goals and just spent the time left doing whatever I fancied. I thought 36 hrs would be too little but the time feels just right. I still have 8 hrs left! Fantastic change! Please do this from now on.

    Cant decant pots by hand

    Posted: 02 Dec 2019 08:27 AM PST

keeps bringing up the powerburst menu

i tried with weapon poison ++ and regular energy pots. But then i tried overloads and those work. Stamina pots and sara brews do not work. Summoning pots aswell. and it only affects the 3 dose pots.

all of the effected pots seem to be powerburst ingredients.
