Thank you Jagex for the new DXPW system!

    Posted: 25 Nov 2019 01:40 AM PST

Just have to say how amazed and grateful I am for this new system implementation for this DXPW iteration! I can finally play at my own pace and enjoy the fruits of the DXPW without having to cancel life itself for an entire weekend!

I can just play at my own pace, enjoy the DXPW as others have as I have 10 days to use it all! What are your guys thoughts on this? Do you enjoy the new system as much as I did?

Really hope Jagex uses this system in the future!

I got one Ourg bone (1) in exchange for for three Searing overloads (3). at what point was this even remotely considered balanced? untradeable items should not be taken away from completing dailies, especially ones that require an extreme effort and considerable number of resources.

Why add 120 herb/farm doors to dg if there won't be any new herbs or seeds in dg?

Dungeoneering Skill Requirements Scale Up To 120 Now

    Posted: 25 Nov 2019 04:11 AM PST

Quick recap for skill requirements on the critical path (rooms that are required to be ran to reach the boss) in dungeoneering: in a floor with party difficulty set to 5:5, the skill requirements for reaching critical rooms are decided by the highest available skill levels in the party. If the person with the highest construction level has a construction level of 75, the game will take their level, and range the skill requirement from their level - 9, meaning in said example a construction requirement on the critical path would range from 66-75.
5:5 takes the highest level available, 5:4 2nd highest, 5:3 3rd highest etc.

As of the herblore/farming update, these skill requirements are able to scale up to 120 now, meaning that if you have a single person in your party with 120 farming/herblore, skilling requirements for farm/herb on the critical path for a 5:5 floor range from 111-120 now.

Reason to believe this (I am 106 herblore): https://i.imgur.com/A7SEzMf.png https://i.imgur.com/wDCNmw9.png
    Notice guide mode being on.
Besides skill levels affecting skill requirements on the critical path, it also affected the tier resources you would find on the critical path. What skill is connected to which resource is pretty complicated, but the gist of it is that resources are of the highest 2 tiers that the player with the highest respective skill can gather. Divination excluded. This has been affected as well by the farming/herblore update (tier 1 resource with maxed skills on the critical path): https://i.imgur.com/t3UM8BA.png

Now for my opinion on this. I am a competitive DGer with my farming and herblore being far from 120, so I am probably a bit biased.
I feel like this is a bit too much. Most people already only look for maxed/near maxed players in their parties. Being maxed is already a high threshold, but 120 farming and herblore are elite skill requirements, and mostly require literal bills to be dumped on to get. This is very subjective, and this is a decision that jagex would probably want the playerbase to make (I'm guessing, sorry if it's not), so I'd like your opinion on this.
Is incorporating 120 farm and herblore in dungeoneering too much? Or do the already high skill requirements for DG warrant this? Let me know.

P.S.: what I wrote may make it sound like it was a conscious decision from mods to incorporate 120 farming/herblore, which it probably wasn't. It probably resulted from the code being able to account for skill levels beyond 99. Whether putting a hardcap on level 99 is even possible, I do not know.

Edit: I guess this discussion is relevant for future skills that are going to be raised to 120 as well.

Maximum farming reputation should be a trim comp requirement

    Posted: 25 Nov 2019 05:19 AM PST

The update in general feels like it is lacking in new achievements/requirements.

From what I can see the only new achievements are:

    • Farm 120
    • Herb 120
    • New bean there, done that achievement for buying the new farm upgrades
    • 14 farming achievements (one for each of the new breeding logs)
    • Complete the Ranch Out of Time Breeding log

What is the Point of Poison Bombs Jagex?

    Posted: 25 Nov 2019 10:24 AM PST

Unless they can poison even immune to poison mobs/bosses, its a lot more expensive then just drinking a weapon poison ++ and not much more convinient, or at least not worth the much higher cost. If we made 3 at a certain lvl it might be worth but like this, its pretty bad. Why would you ever use a bomb that can only poison for 6 seconds instead of drinking a potion that lasts 12 min and does the same thing?

When you deposit a full ore box the ores go straight into your bank, can we have the same for gem bag (upgrade) ?

    Posted: 25 Nov 2019 04:05 AM PST

Found out about this after my 80 crafting grind on the ironman lol, you have to manually empty the gembag each time you bank, while the ore box just auto-empties when you deposit it.
