Said it last year, I'll say it again. Move the Premier Aura off a physical ingame item! Posted: 14 Nov 2019 09:24 AM PST Move the Premiere Aura (Premier Artefact) to the aura pouch please instead of being an item. No-one uses it anymore as it's another item taking up another space. Or allow us to equip it to the Aura slot in our equipment. I have had premier club for 3 years now. And when it was on auras it was great! But last it being a physical item, I've probably used it like 10 times as I just forget about it. It sits in my bank collecting dust. I rather have the buff of my God book than an aura that I'm going to use for an hour. Multiple people last year asked for this. And it's probably going to be said again. [link] [comments]

Posted: 14 Nov 2019 06:20 AM PST Rejoined RS3 for a month to recomp before the grace period of 120 farm and herb. Every day when I log in, I diligently close the treasure hunter pop-up - I have no interest in spending money I don't have on items I don't want. Other players are entitled to their own journey, but I really don't like this depressing reminder that I'm no longer the type of player Jagex wishes to cater to. This isn't the worst issue however. Everytime I get a treasure hunter key from training, the damn thing pops into my inventory. It wouldn't be so bad if I could just 1-click redeem and get rid of the damn thing. But no, I get the "you must use your existing keys before redeeming message" - leading to a 3-click destroy process every time this happens. This is hardly intense APM - but it is a design choice seemingly created to induce maximum frustration for those who don't want to participate in MTX. Why? And why is there still no toggle/opt-out option. The cynical answer is the most obvious one, but perhaps the mods don't realise how irritating it is to constantly empty your inventory of these damn things? Either way, please give me a toggle before an aneurysm gets me first. Cheers, K-sar [link] [comments]

Players Lodge in Anachronia still not restoring health/prayer/summoning points Posted: 14 Nov 2019 10:04 AM PST Its tier 3 and everything. Its been about 3 months or so now and I've bug reported it a couple of times. I find it works eventually if I stand around doing nothing for about 3 minutes... Surely that's not how its meant to work right? [link] [comments]

Give T92 Sirenic & Tectonic the Masterwork abilities Posted: 14 Nov 2019 10:54 AM PST Cos consistency is always nice. T92 armour being as expensive as it is to make and recharge should all have the same ability to not degrade on reaper&slayer assignments. NOT the damage pooling. Even though it'd be kinda nice [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Nov 2019 08:26 PM PST In any game where MTX is offered that provides an in-game advantage, it generates a tension between the player and the game. Immediately, not reaching goals that could have been reached via MTX become exponentially more frustrating. As a player, it's hard not to feel like you're being pressured to spend money on the game. Feeling pressure to spend money on a game is the WORST kind of feeling and is the thing that develops long-term animosity towards a game. People should spend money on a game because they WANT to, not because they feel pressured to do so. For example, take MarioKart Tour. MTX in this game DOES confer an in-game advantage. This makes it immediately frustrating when you know your ability to compete and play the game is being hampered because the best possible performances require you to spend money on the game. When you don't achieve the scores you want, you feel a pressure to spend. Whether you give in to that pressure or not, the outcome is the same: you feel frustrated with the developers. In contrast, take League of Legends. Not once has MTX ever been an issue in that game, DESPITE the fact it has lootbox mechanics. In fact, the lootboxes are actually enjoyable in many instances. This is because the MTX confers NO in-game advantage at all and is purely cosmetic. With this style of MTX, you pay because you WANT to. When you see an awesome cosmetic you want and you buy it, it feels more like you are treating yourself. You don't feel much pressure at all to pay, and it feels more like the developers are allowing you to come to them, rather than them coming to you. So if Jagex wants to be a market leader in their handling of MTX, they have to: -Reduce (ideally eliminate) all MTX that confers any form of in-game advantage. -Keep and promote MTX that enhances the player enjoyment WITHOUT providing an in-game advantage (e.g. cosmetics). What do you guys think? [link] [comments]

Companies Don’t Voluntarily Make Less Money Posted: 14 Nov 2019 10:09 AM PST A lot of the recent discussions regarding MTX have been way off of the mark when it comes to analyzing Jagex's business operations. I wanted to try and correct these perceptions so that hopefully we can have a more productive discourse. First is the claim that Jagex's dividend structure is unusual (the fact that they pay most of their profits out in dividends). This WOULD be unusual if Jagex were a publicly traded company. However, this is not the case for privately owned companies. This is worrying considering that this essentially confirms that the parent company does not believe the company is worth attempting to grow. This is bad news for us here, but not unreasonable or unusual given the company's status and track record. Second, is the claim that "Jagex don't need MTX revenue." This is true but not entirely helpful. They, of course, don't need it to stay afloat. But removing it, or recreating the system so that they make significantly less off of it would be them choosing to make less money. When you have a parent company that is directing you to maximize profits; making a decision that hurts those profits will get you fired. We don't have to like it, of course, but hopefully recognizing this will make the discourse focus on things that have a reasonable shot at happening. Third, MTX changes or removal will not be a one stop solution that brings back the player base. People are trying to make the point that MTX is a major reason why the game is hemorrhaging players and therefore it's removal/change will bring players back. This is not the case. A reason why a player leaves a game is not often related to why a player might come back. MTX changes might stop the bleeding but getting players back is a much more difficult problem to fix. My main point is this: Jagex will only make changes to MTX if it either doesn't affect or improves their bottom line. Even if these changes are made; the best result we can hope for is that it stops the game from continuing to bleed players. In the end, MTX changes should be viewed as one small step in the right direction, rather than 'The Solution'. We should also be focusing on the other ways the game could be improved. Prismatic Dyes: Completely Useless Now? Posted: 14 Nov 2019 04:14 AM PST What happened to cosmetics with custom color options that one might use their prismatic dye colors they spent their runecoins to buy? It's been at least a year and a half if not 2+ since I remember an outfit coming out that had the option to customize part of the coloring. Almost every Solomon's outfit used to have these options for a long time. It makes no sense that the complexity of the cosmetics and graphics has digressed from however many years it's been since these outfits with the custom colors became a thing. People spent gp/runecoins/money buying Prismatic Dyes for custom colors, thinking that at least some of the outfits would continue to be released that you could use the colors on--I spent a bunch of my runecoins 2 or so years ago during a sale and bought a few packs of dyes with runecoins I'd saved and now I have nothing to use them on. So I have un-used dyes I haven't even made into colors yet. If you are not longer going to release outfits with these options you should find some way to refund people for un-used dyes.
