No Raffle/Summer and Winter Wknd/Vic Trader. Jagex its okay to have events that wont make you money

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 10:06 AM PST

It really is okay to have an event for the players.

When was the last time Vic the Trader stopped by since the introduction of the portable trader?

No raffle? It's just a copy and paste event.

No summer and winter weekends? The slayer/clue scrolls were always fun to do.

[suggestion] brooch of the gods should provide portables boosts (and stack with portables) rather than doubling the portable effects

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 09:41 AM PST

currently if using (for example) a portable range you get 5% chance to double food, boosted to 10% if you have a brooch.

imo the brooch alone should grant 5% without a portable, but it would stack with a portable to get the same effect (10% to double a food if at a portable and also wearing a brooch)

this way its not just "buffing mtx" and would allow people to maybe not all deathdot at the combat academy on w84. also makes the brooch relevant for ironmen

    thanks for listening

We Need to Talk About the Duel Arena

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 09:31 AM PST

The last time Jagex talked about the issue of rares, inflation, and currencies on stream, a blue partyhat was around 40-45b, and at the time it was considered alarmist to talk about blue going over max shards (53.5B).

Today the current PC for a blue partyhat is 62B, or 83B depending on who you ask. And more and more people are realizing the problem isn't a dupe glitch or merchants manipulating the market. It's staking.

We have a system where max shards isn't enough for the duel arena. And stakers with a lot of wealth use partyhats to store wealth / do large stakes. We clearly need a better alternative and luckilly the solution is just next door.

We need the system OSRS has. Which is to have platinum tokens, a staking tax, and restrict staking to currency only (GP and platinum tokens). So much pressure on the current demand for partyhats is from stakers. That's why you'll see the same handful of stakers overpaying for partyhats, setting a new record with every purchase. Merchants, while many manipulate reports on the forums, are not the ones to blame for the rise.

Make everyone happy, Jagex. Give stakers a way to store their wealth and stake more easilly, and make the entire rest of the community happier as well by putting an end to the rediculousness with rare prices, and finally implement an effective gold sink to combat inflation in the form of a staking tax. OSRS has seen trillions of GP sunk from their tax, and I have no doubt we would see the same in RS3. You asked on stream for us to keep pressing you on this issue. It's time to talk about this again.

If you are an OSRS player reading this, please share how this staking system has been for osrs, and if it's been a positive then please help support the same for RS3!

The True Identity of Xau-Tak (Part 2)

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 03:16 PM PST

Hello again my fellow Gielinorians! z_Blitzy_z here with an update to the first part of this theory, in which I predicted that Xau-Tak is actually the 6th Elder God. If you would like to read my previous post follow the like here https://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/hzwr9q/the_true_identity_of_xautak/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

Now on with the update! The recent release of Raksha, the Shadow Colossus of Orthen has once again shown me more evidence of my theory that Xau-Tak is in fact the 6th Elder God. According the information given to us by Jagex, Raksha came into contact with the Ancient Monolith, aka The Codex, one of the Elder Artifacts. Raksha was present on Gielinor even before the Stone of Jas was arrived on the world. But, and here's the most interesting bit of information, the power Raksha gained from the Codex did NOT come from the Elder Gods. It came...from "something else." It embued him with massive amounts of Shadow Anima. In my previous theory, I mentioned how Zaros spoke of all six Elder Gods, 5 of form and one of "something else." Whenever Jagex makes a cryptic mention of the 6th Elder God, they always use the phrase "something else." After digging around even more, I actually found a particularly large mention of it that points to Xau-Tak being the 6th Elder God. One that I, as a pvmer, should have realized sooner, as it was right under my nose. Kranon the Ambassador's examine states "once a Dragonkin, now...something else."

Next I pointed out how Kerapac used the power of the second black stone dragon as a catalyst for creating Shadow Anima with his machine. What could the reason be for this? Simple. The black stones that cover the dragon's body are a form of pure, crystalized Shadow Anima embued with Xau-Tak's essence.

Something I have noticed is that the blind followers of Xau-Tak, they all claim to hear it's "beautiful song". But to beings like the World Guardian or the Moai of the Eastern Isles, they hear the screams and distorted sounds heard in the soundtrack, Chaos of Corruption, the soundtrack that is unlocked when Xau-Tak makes his presence known in Elite Dungeons 1 and 2. For a while this confused me, as it was clear why Hanto, the Moai, heard screaming instead of the "beautiful song". He is a pure agent of the Anima Mundi, a being of pure Anima. But why did the World Guardian hear it's true sound? Because Guthix granted the World Guardian with the specialized form of Shadow Anima. As for how Guthix was able to bestow such a thing onto the World Guardian, I have a theory present in the previous post about how Guthix encountered Xau-Tak on Renmark, and upon destroying the world by accident, the blade embued him with Shadow Anima and regular Anima.

I now point to the final point of this update in my theory. Before Kranon became the warped ambassador of Xau-Tak, when the Dragonkin encountered Raksha, Kranon once came before the beast. It is said that "Kranon considered the Raksha to be the source of his religious inspiration after it projected a hateful vision to him." Now I ask you this readers, has anyone ever wondered just exactly HOW Kranon discovered the ritual to summon Xau-Tak's power? While working under his fellow Dragonkin, Skeka, after the Dragonkin were cursed, Kranon "then recalled Skeka's research and realized that there may be other beings equal or superior to the Elder Gods who could help them." I believe he realized this fact due to the vision Raksha gave him, in which he saw himself performing the ritual to summon Xau-Tak's power, the very power that turned Raksha into what he is now, only for it to go wrong and destroy the Shadow Reef when he tried to replicate what he saw.

That concludes the update to my theory, for now. I will continue to delve deep into the catacombs of lore to find more for you all. Tell me what you all think in the comments, I'd love to hear your takes and theories on this as well. And if any Mods are reading this, I would love to hear from you as well!
