- Introducing leagues to RS3
- Combined Online Players reached 223,635 today setting a new record for the most players online in both OSRS and RS3.

- Another month, another disappointment.
- d pick from maw holy shit
- Now doing PvM teaching, 20m/h rate.
- I recreated Gnome Child
- It finally happened. I purchased 4000 charges of quick teles the day Vis Wax was updated and years later, I've used them all. Well worth it.
- A harsh critique of the skilling off hands
- Ashdale should be a permanent local to Christmas like Draynor Mansion is now to Halloween
- RS3 trailblazer!
- Sitting here about to do a bloodwood tree run, still wondering if my Crystal hatchet/Grace of the Elves would be lost on death, and at the same time why Jagex hasn't addressed the issue and hasn't implemented a fix for the death interface.
- I spent 30-40 hours editing this RuneScape Short Film. (Read comment for more info!)
- There goes all my luck! Both within 10 hard clues!
- Coming from OSRS :)
- So this is what all those people with back to back drops feel like
- Red phats don't exist?
- Got my first pet! Excited!
- Replica Verac's Outfit is this month's free Solomon's store item
- GE Limit Reset Timer
- RuneScape 3 is not PayToWin. It's PayToExpedite. Clearing the confusion. TL;DR at the bottom.
- they should make demonic skull required to attack people in wildy
- I really hate this game sometimes. Literally using the lowest setting. Been trying to load the game for the past 20 minutes.

A harsh critique of the skilling off hands Posted: 01 Nov 2020 12:20 PM PST I used to think they were ok until I noticed a couple things. Namely that they require 99 in the main skill they benefit and have an effect that is based on a gizmo perk. First let's talk about level 99 items. To put it bluntly, not many people care about virtual 120 or 200M xp. This means level 99 items need to do at least one of two things. 1. provide or enhance a money making method. 2. provide or enhance a method of obtaining untradeable resources. The point being that they need to provide a benefit that doesn't involve simply training the skill or gaining xp. Next let's talk about the perk synergy before talking about the items themselves. The items provide a synergy with perks related to the respective skills, but provides no gizmo slot to equip said perks. This means you need to have the perk on your main hand or else you are losing out on part of the functionality. The perk synergies are also very weak, providing a low chance at a small xp buff that is useless to players who are maxed and don't care about leveling anymore. Next up Orthen Furnace Core. I already covered how useless the xp buff can be. The scroll of efficiency buff is nice, but not big enough for me to actually care about it. If I'm making masterwork or something, it is increasing my profits ever so slightly. Superheat form is nice, and admittedly the main reason I kinda like the item. Conversely you can smith for literally hours with just a few super restore potions, making the effect negligible. The effect is also bugged with GotE, which I'm not going to hold against its design, but it has been bugged for a few weeks now. Forge phoenixes are the other main draw of the item, but now that it has been tested it is pretty clear it will take many many hours to even reach a break even point. This would be fine if the smithing requirement was lower or non-existent, but I don't plan on training smithing for hours on end anytime soon. It might be good for people with 99 smithing and low firemaking. Finally is Artificer's Measure. I already covered how useless the xp buff can be, and this item is even worse since you have to roll it multiple times to stack it up to full effect. I really don't see the point of the gem bag in the first place. I don't know of monsters that drop gems in particularly high quantity, nor is it worth fiddling with for bank management. It's nice for people who actually use the gem bag, but a waste of dg tokens for everyone else. There also isn't any additional use or synergy aside from the increased capacity. The Artificer's Measure has two saving graces. The first is the voice of Seren effect, which is actually useful for people who still need harmonic dust for crystal tools or who want more for any reason. The second is the glassblowing duplication which enhances a fairly popular daily money maker, although the catchup time is a month and a half to three months depending on available sandstone locations. Overall skilling off hands need to have lower level requirements to uses or better effects that benefit max players (aka not just xp and training effects). They should also be augmentable if they are going to synergise with specific invention perks. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Nov 2020 02:46 AM PST I recently started playing trailblazer on OSRS and enjoying it but I am a little overwhelmed as I barely know anything of OS. I may be in the minority here but I would bloody love an an RS3 trailblazer type event, I would grind it so damn hard it's insane. Have jagex ever released a statement on the topic or do we just accept that we don't get cool events like os? Please jagex ! Please. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Nov 2020 02:07 PM PST This is just getting ridiculous. I've made multiple posts about this small, yet significant issue that should have been resolved long, long ago. With RS launching on Steam I feel like it's time we have some consistency and definitely start with this extremely important issue. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Nov 2020 05:52 AM PST Me and a friend are making the switch from OSRS to RS3 this upcoming weekend! We've both played pre-EOC and Oldschool Runescape, just never RS3. We've already made plans to grind out fighter torso, all void sets, and chaotic weapons (we loved Dungeoneering pre-EOC). Are any of those items still effective? Are tanks and pures still a thing? We've always had one of us run a tank build and the other aim toward a DPS build while trying to stay the same combat level as we loved to duo mainly. I just don't know how much the combat mechanics have actually changed. Any and all help/tips are appreciated. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Nov 2020 09:22 AM PST Since halloween has passed I was working on my christmas spirit outfit, only to notice that my phat sweater displays 4 green phats, 2 purples, 2 blues, 1 white, 1 black(?), and no reds. Please Jagex, may I have a red phat? :) [link] [comments]

RuneScape 3 is not PayToWin. It's PayToExpedite. Clearing the confusion. TL;DR at the bottom. Posted: 01 Nov 2020 09:33 AM PST Hear me out on this one. I've been playing on-off RS3 since the EoC Beta, which I recall happened around 2012. Back then, you had a former Treasure Hunter called Squeal of Fortune. This spinning wheel was used to give players XP lamps, various weapons tagged "Lucky" and items you could gather yourself. What does this say? More XP? Faster skills? Yes. Was this PayToWin, though? Never. Now let's move to the current time period, time where Yak Track, other events and things happen. You use keys to open treasure chests in T.H. to receive items you could get yourself, items you can't obtain by default (Certain skilling outfit pieces) and lots of Bonus XP stars/lamps. Does this make the game PayToWin? It doesn't. What are you trying to win? If you're thinking you and your "microtransactions are p2w" mindset can reach #1 on Global Leaderboards, you're wrong, because no matter how much you try, you'll be the next fully maxed, 200M all right below another that got there before you. You are about 19 years late with getting #1 on G.L. There's nothing to fight for anymore. You can't win, nobody can win anymore. People who say RuneScape 3 is P2W are (mostly OSRS) people who think these microtransactions give you a very big advantage over others. It doesn't. All it does it expedite your skilling progress a little more, nothing else. If RuneScape 3 was PayToWin in the other game's mindset, or how most people think, you'd be able to buy holiday rares like Partyhats, in-game gold and top-tier items with R E A L money, straight from Jagex's in-game paywalls. The only time PayToWin is defined the way OSRS and some RS3 players define is when RWT services happen. Therefore, we can say that RuneScape 3 in a literal sense, excluding membership (PayToPlay), is Pay To Expedite, meaning that you can use real cash, or save your keys from daily sign-ins, to get certain XP boosting items from Treasure Hunter, speeding up your levelling progress. This has NOTHING to do with Paying To Win because you don't win anything from getting more XP than others. If you compare most online Android "MMORPGS", you'll find that they sell top-tier items and other things, alongside "VIP" ranks for real money. That is what we call PayToWin, since those ranks give you a high advantage with bonuses, much like Donation ranks on private servers with minority selling in-game items for real money. This is unfair, since the only way you could obtain those top-tier items is when you have enough in-game gold or work hard towards killing a certain boss or completing certain activities/quests to obtain it. Most if not every item in those Android MMOs are locked behind paywalls. Do you see any RuneScape item being locked behind a paywall? Does a bond count? No. You can easily obtain one by simply making enough in-game cash. TL;DR - RuneScape 3 uses microtransactions to slightly speed up your levelling progress while you are 19 years late to "win" a #1 spot on Global Leaderboards, which doesn't give you any advantage or disadvantage. they should make demonic skull required to attack people in wildy Posted: 01 Nov 2020 09:17 AM PST no riskers have had their way with the wildy for 15 years and its dead because of it. hardly nobody's out there so it's ok to experiment quick win updates. this 1 change alone would probably save the wildy tbh [link] [comments]
